What do you enjoy doing most in your leisure time?
Being retired for over 20 years I have found what is most important is to not act your age and to find activities to prevent boredom.
The worst thing people can do is to go with the flo. I’ll probably end up like all those oldies in a nursing home and of course you will get what you think about.
Most times people like me can make a decision to get more out of life not less as we age.
I have found from experience that the movement of the body found by regular exercise will prevent muscle decline. That takes care of the body. Next is the Mind. This also requires mental activity through reading, sport, playing music, doing puzzles etc. and lastly is Spirit. This is experienced by resting the mind and noticing that part of you which allows your life to happen in automatic mode as opposed to manually changing thoughts in your head.
The natural way allows you to laugh at life happening automatically. Sure beats the old way of forcing, through only thinking.
Everyone combines the two not realising that they emphasise the wrong one.
