What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever found (and kept)?
As a child I preferred to be by myself rather than mixing with others. It made no sense to me running around laughing with the other kids. I remember sitting on the edge of my bed looking out the window and our neighbour said to my mother “He shouldn’t be like that he should be outside playing with the others”
I forced myself to comply with lots of things not only mixing with others but I was forced to learn subjects at school that never really interested me however there was one exception. The music my Dad played on his Violin gave me goosebumps and sometimes brought me to tears. Guess what? I found out I was the only one affected that way so once more I had to force myself to listen to music and not be affected by its beauty.
I didn’t realise at that time of my life I was feeling good about changing who I really was, to become something or someone to fit the mould of others to live in the world of duality.
The coolest thing I ever found came to me about 70 years later after I shed all the falsehood and I noticed the perfect bliss within. The silent place I didn’t want to give up as a child (The Light of Consciousness) was always there. It cannot be forgotten or die as it was never born. My physical body is finite; my essence has no beginning or ending.
This special Jewel is also there for you but only you can notice it.
Alan.
